Hi. Loved all the info. I spent six weeks on Givat Brenner in the summer of 1979. It was my second trip to Israel and I remeber when I stepped off the plane for the second time and felt, ahhh, I'm home. It is an amazing place. The kibbutz was a great experience. I worked for a week in the furniture factory, but complained about being inside. They then sent my to pick pears for five weeks. We had to catch the truck to the fields at 4:00 am. We were done by 10:00. It was great. I'll never forget checking those crazy yellow machines for gas and oil every morning. I didn't eat pears for years after I came home. Hope to be able to visit Israel again.

Jason shalom,
This is wonderful and very interesting.
I loved reading your staff and seeing the pictures. You're so creative!
I've sent your web to all our family in Israel and they all loved it.
It was great pleasure having you with us.
Please come again, and soon.
Love,
Hezi & Mimi and the family.

Hello neighbor,

I live just off of Highland Ave. by the Park. I lived on Kibbutz Yahel in the south of Israel (45 minutes north of Eilat) for 10 years. Was just in the Galilee over Pesach hiking with the guys I was in the army with 20 years ago. It was great.

Your ode to kibbutz life struck me lose to my heart. It's the same revelations and feelings I had when I first came to a kibbutz (Maale HaChamishe near Jerusalem) in 1979. On Yahel I was one of two people to vote against getting televisions for the members. I lost that one.

Would love to talk to you some more about the visit. E-mail me, I'm in CLP's Reference Dept.
