Vermont 2003

In August 2003, I spent a week with my family traveling around Vermont. We stayed at a lodge near Killington, visited some relatives in Bennington, and saw the sights around the state. Here are some pictures from that trip.

Adam find an oversized squash growing in the summer at Smuggler's Notch. Meanwhile, one farm in central Vermont was "Closed til Pumpkins." David's wearing his Homsar shirt. David holding a bottle of Moxie, the soft drink made in Maine since before the time of Coca-Cola. It's said to be a taste that you have to acquire from birth; after tasting it, I agree. David hitting a bucket of balls at the Smuggler's Notch driving range. A bucolic scene from central Vermont. Adam and Mom relaxing in a hammock in a store at Quechee Gorge. My aunt and uncle's cottage near Bennington, Vermont. A view from Killington Peak. A view from Killington Peak. A view from Killington Peak. A view from Killington Peak. Adam, Dad, Mom, and David atop Killington Peak. Mom, Adam, me, and David atop Killington Peak. A view down at Quechee Gorge. A view down at Quechee Gorge. Adam pretends to ignore a sign at Quechee Gorge. This sign reminds visitors to Woodstock, Vermont of just how tolerant some Vermonters are.
